The CareerCatchers, Inc.
CareerCatchers works to promote career stability and self-sufficiency for every client through individualized counseling, training, and support. Since 2007, CareerCatchers has provided one-on-one sustained guidance for some 2,800 low-income and otherwise disadvantaged local residents. Our services are provided through the efforts of our staff, Board of Directors, Volunteers, and Partners. We serve the groups left behind when it comes to equitable job opportunities. We adhere to the concept of diversity, equity & inclusion which informs our actions creates a racially equitable environment, and embraces inclusion and belonging for all we work with. Our response to COVID-19 resulted in expanded services and a commensurate 50% year-over-year increase in clients served. Typically, 78% of our clients seen intensively find new/better jobs, and 85% participate in training & receive post-job placement support. For the past two years, we have served 800 clients per year.
What a donation buys:
• $100 provides resources to help clients cope with challenges brought on by COVID;
• $200 advances the client’s career journey by developing a customize Employment Plan;
• $650 moves the client towards self-sufficiency and improved career prospects;
• $1,500 helps a client achieve, retain, and advance in their career.
Ongoing Volunteer opportunities: Present a workforce topic at our weekly workshops; teach computer skills and tutor for ESOL, GED & Other Exams.
