Volunteers transform Brookside Gardens’ Conservatory into an intricate system of trains and trolleys that wind through the beautiful flora landscape. Explore past and present Montgomery County landmarks nestled among the tracks, including miniature versions of Brookside Gardens, Kensington Railroad Station, the Cabin John Hotel, and Glen Echo’s Dentzel Carousel. The Garden Railway Exhibit is open during the day before Garden of Lights, from November 25 through January 1 (closed on December 24 and 25).

Montgomery County is ready to entertain this holiday season with two stage hits at Olney Theatre Center. It wouldn’t be the holidays without Olney’s favorite Christmas tradition – a unique twist on a timeless classic, A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas. Winter Lights Festival in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Explore a Winter Wonderland

The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival welcomes visitors for another spectacular season. The wondrous display of lights at Seneca Creek State Park will be open nightly from November 25 through December 31. The 3.5 mile drive through the enchanted setting takes you past more than 450 illuminated displays and beautifully lit trees.
