Pride Month is an annual commemoration held during the entire month of June. There is a lot to be PRIDEFUL about in Montgomery County, Maryland! To celebrate, we’ve pulled together the ultimate list of ways you and your family can show your pride all month long, just outside of Washington, DC.
MoCo Pride Prom

MoCo Pride Prom is a prom for LGBTQ+ high school and community college youth across MD, DC, and VA. The event allows students to proudly attend prom, dress however they are most comfortable, and dance without fear with whomever they choose.
World Pride Mixer
Olney Theatre Center

Celebrate WorldPride with Olney Theatre Center! Join them for an evening of fabulous fun at the World Pride Mixer featuring Drag Bingo by the amazing D’manda Martini, delicious wine and tasty nibbles. Tickets to this event are free with tickets to the musical Senior class that night, or $10 a ticket.

Celebrate Pride in Takoma Park with a Pride Parade and Street Fair. Join the Parade and march to the Street Fair, which includes LGBTQ+ organizations and allies sharing info, plus face painting, crafts, food, and more. All are welcome at this family-friendly event.Â

The City of Rockville’s Human Rights Commission will celebrate the seventh annual Rockville Pride with its Pride event on Sunday, June 2, 2024. The event will be interactive and will include live performances, information booths and dialogue, HIV testing, and arts and crafts as well as children’s activities.

Pride in the Park: A Comedy Show

LGBTQIA+ comics from comedy troupe Improbable Comedy brings the laughs in stand-up routines touching on topics of relationships, family and love at Pride in the Park. The event begins at 6:00 pm with food and beverages for purchase. The show begins at 7:00 pm. Ages 17+.
International Pride Orchestra & Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, D.C.
The Music Center at Strathmore

As part of WorldPride 2025 and in partnership with the Capital Pride Alliance, the International Pride Orchestra will present a one-night-only Pride Celebration Concert. Watch wildlife and enjoy a peaceful paddle with other LGBTQIA+ community members on the Pride Lake Tour. Your boat, paddle, and PFDs (Type III or V) if you have one. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and an extra pair of shoes, you can expect your feet and your clothes to get a bit damp.

Pride on the Pontoon

Enjoy a leisurely cruise on a pontoon boat on Little Seneca Lake. Look at local wildlife and connect with LGBTQIA+ people during Pride Month. Be sure to bring an extra jacket or blanket as it’s often cooler on the water. Tickets are $7.
