6 Ways to Sip and Savor Outdoors Through August

There is no better way to enjoy the beautiful warm weather in August than at some of Montgomery County, Maryland’s best destinations to sip and savor. Enjoy craft beer with horses on the Ag Reserve, treat yourself to ice cream sandwiches at The Beach, or indulge in a crab feast on a farm—all of this, just outside of Washington, DC.

Dip Your Toes in the Sand at Pike & Rose
You don’t need to leave Montgomery County to visit the beach! Pack your sunglasses and your flipflops and head over to The Beach at Pike & Rose where you can relax, catch up with friends, and even grab a drink at The Beach Bar, which is open Fridays and Saturdays. While you’re there don’t forget to treat yourself to The Baked Bear Ice Cream, home to the famous ice cream cookie sandwich.

Enjoy a Crab Feast at Smokey Glen Farm
Grab your friends and family and head to Smokey Glen Farm‘s Fridays at the Farm for an evening filled with fresh crab and shrimp, short ribs, beer, and all of your favorite BBQ sides. After your meal, enjoy all of the fun activities the farm has to offer like miniature golf, horseshoe, and the playground.
