Nine-time Grammy Award winner Wynton Marsalis appears in his final season as artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and music director of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, leading the 15-member ensemble with precision and virtuosity. The program draws from jazz’s tradition, with two distinct performances featuring works by Marsalis alongside music by the orchestra’s composers and arrangers, reflecting more than three decades of touring and performance worldwide.

The Financial Times described Marsalis’s trumpet playing as a seamless welding of “classic jazz references into a modal jazz palette.”
