NEA Jazz Master and four-time Grammy Award winner Stanley Clarke joins pianist Hiromi Uehara in a program honoring their friend and collaborator Chick Corea. The concert features Corea’s compositions alongside new works inspired by his legacy.
Clarke and Corea were longtime collaborators in the fusion group Return to Forever, while Hiromi’s connection to Corea began when he invited her to perform with him in Tokyo at age 17, helping launch her career. Together, they bring distinct perspectives shaped by decades of musical exchange.
They are joined by PUBLIQuartet, a string quartet known for blending classical performance with improvisation and global influences, adding a new dimension to the program.
