Enjoy a morning of books, songs, and movement! Each participant will receive a follow-up activity to complete at home. Registration is required; please email the museum to reserve a spot. This free program is recommended for children ages 2 to 6. Storytime begins at 11 a.m., and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Books are available for purchase through Bookshop.org.
Schedule
Storytimes are held at History Park next to the Gaithersburg Community Museum from April through October, and at City Hall Council Chambers from November through March. In case of inclement weather, the program location will change. Register to be notified of any updates.

July 29, 2025 – Eggs-cellent Animals Discover the amazing world of animals that hatch from eggs! We’ll read fun and fascinating books about these egg-born creatures.
August 26, 2025 – I’ve Got Rhythm Get ready to rock and roll! Bach to Rock will be our special guest reader as we explore lively books all about music.
Storytime will follow state and county health regulations, which may include mandatory face coverings, physical distancing, and a reduced number of participants.
