Acclaimed Maryland artist, Vian Borchert, presents her latest Spring themed paintings in a solo exhibition titled “IN BLOOM“. The exhibition celebrates the Spring season with all its beauty and especially the Cherry Blossom trees the DMV area is known for. In the expressive paintings that embody the cherry blossom trees and florals, Borchert represents a conceptual motif to explore ideas of renewal and the beauty of fleeting moments as well as the transient nature of life. The works are deeply tied to symbolism of spring, new beginnings, and impermanence. Much like the fleeting blooms, Borchert aims through her work to represent the fragility of life and the constant cycle of change. The paintings also express a sense of serenity and hope while evoking the idea of embracing the present and acknowledging life’s cyclical nature reinforcing the appreciation of the beauty around us before it fades. Borchert aims through her modern landscapes to evoke a call to pause and focus on nature’s ephemeral beauty and our place within it.
Hence, Borchert aspires through her abstracted landscapes to bring attention to the beauty and delicate moments that exist in life, encouraging reflection and mindfulness.
The “In Bloom” Spring season exhibition by Vian Borchert is from April 1 till May 31, 2025. A Reception and Meet the Artist will be on Saturday May 24, 3-5 PM (Free and Open to the public). The exhibition is presented by the Framers Choice Gallery located at: 402 Main Street, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. Gallery Hours: Monday – Saturday: 10AM-3PM.
