There are a total of 64 lockhouses all built along the canal during the 19th century, and seven of them are available for overnight stays as part of the Canal Quarters Program. Or, experience life like a lock keeper with a modern twist and stay at Lockhouse 6, Lockhouse 10, or Lockhouse 21.

During your stay, reconnect with nature by exploring over 3,700 acres of land that Little Bennett Regional Park covers. Wander by foot, mountain bike, or even horseback on over 25 miles of natural surface trails through forests, meadows, and streams.

Built in the 1930s in Germantown, Maryland, the Redwall Castle is a 6,000 square foot castle with six acres of land for outdoor activities.

With five bedrooms, and space for up to ten guests, it’s the perfect overnight spot for families or a small group of friends. Outdoors guests will enjoy an open wood fire pit and grill, and indoors guests will enjoy the beautiful architecture of the building, and fireplace to cozy up to when visiting during the cooler months.
