Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade

With marching bands, Bolivian dancing groups, floats, giant characters and balloons, and of course Santa, the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade is the only Thanksgiving Parade in the metro DC area.

It’s the beginning of December and your kids are ready for the holidays! What to do? Make it a family tradition to kick off the holiday season at the museum! Festivities include: Visits with Santa and his elves, live holiday music, mountains of cookies, Hot Cocoa Bar, Hands-on kids craft stations, including a special activity in the WondeRoom!, kids only gift shop, the Fine Arts & Crafts Holiday Gift Show featuring one-of-a-kind items created by local artists.

Winterfest 2019: Arts and Craft Show

Takoma Park Middle School | Saturday, December 14 | 1:00 am to 4:00 pm

Join us for Winterfest 2019: Arts and Crafts Fair and so much more.  This is a juried arts and craft fair with 50 vendors selling handmade jewelry, painting, textile arts, pottery, and more.  Santa will also be there along with crafts for the kids.

Bring the kids to meet with jolly old St. Nick at Westfield Montgomery. Santa heads back to The North Pole at 6pm Christmas Eve.
