This summer Montgomery County, Maryland residents and visitors will now have a new weekend happy hour hangout where they can dip their toes in the sand, enjoy an Orange Crush Cocktail (it is the beach cocktail) and relax at The Beach at Pike & Rose. They don’t need to drive 3+ hours to the Maryland or Delaware shore for this fun beach destination – it’s now practically in their backyards.
Opening Memorial Day Weekend and open daily, The Beach is a place to meet for lunch, play games and relax. An array of Adirondack chairs and tables are provided by L.L. Bean, which operates a store on Rose Avenue. Sand pails and shovels for kids as well as other beach games will be available for use. On weekends the sandy space will feature the Beach Bar, hosted by Ridgewells Catering and offer beach inspired cocktails, beer and wine, as well as light snacks.
Located next to Rose Park, and the newly opened The Baked Bear, North Bethesda’s neighbors will be able to access The Beach from the park.
Summer events at The Beach include free fitness classes and pop-up parties throughout the season.
