5 Things You Should Know About the Washington Nationals World Series Games

Baseball fans throughout the Capital Region have plenty to celebrate with the Washington Nationals making it to the World Series.

If you live or are planning to stay in Montgomery County, Maryland this weekend, here are five things you should know about the games.

1: When is the World Series in Washington, DC?

  • Game 3: Friday, October 25 | 8:07 pm | Astros vs Nationals
  • Game 4: Saturday, October 26 | 8:07 pm | Astros vs Nationals
  • Game 5 (if necessary): Sunday, October 27 | 8:07 pm | Astros vs Nationals

2: Where is Nationals Park?

Nationals Park is located on the Anacostia River near the confluence of the Washington Channel and Potomac River. The address is 1500 S Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003.

3: How Do I Get to Nationals Park from Montgomery County?

Parking at Nationals Park is limited and ride sharing services will likely include surge pricing. The best and most recommended option is via the Metro system. Hop onto the Red Line Metro at any of the 13 stations located in Montgomery County and ride it to the closest transfer option to the Green Line. The closest station to Nationals Park is Navy Yard-Ballpark Station on the Green Line.

 

 

If you’re still interested in driving, the best option is to enter “First Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003” into your GPS. This will take you to Parking Lot C, which is attached to Nationals Park and is conveniently located at Center Field Gate.

5: Where Can I Watch the World Series in Montgomery County?

If you don’t plan on watching the World Series games from Nationals Park, the City of Rockville is hosting an outdoor watch party for Game 4 on Saturday, October 25 on East Montgomery Street at 7:30 pm, with the first pitch starting at 8:07 pm. Admission is free. Bring chairs, blankets, food and non-alcoholic beverages.
