Annual Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade

The ever-popular Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade returns to the streets of Olde Towne. This rain or shine event includes ethnic dance groups, antique cars and fire trucks, clowns, high school marching bands, and an assortment of community groups, equestrian units, and more.
Kensington 52nd Annual Labor Day Parade
Monday, September 2, 2019 | 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Join us for the biggest party of the summer- Kensington is celebrating its 52nd Labor Day Parade! Cheer on the Inspiring floats and clap along to the bands as they make their way through town. Following the parade, Armory and Mitchell Avenues will be filled with food trucks, vendors, games and activities for children of all ages!
“Kensington “Paint the Town” Labor Day Weekend 2019 Art Show
Saturday, August 31 – September 2, 2019 | Sat/Sun 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Mon 9:30 am – 5:30 pm
In addition to the parade, The Montgomery Art Association and The Town of Kensington present the Annual “Paint the Town” Labor Day Weekend Art Show & Plein Air Event. Artists from all over the area converge on Town Hall displaying their creativity with their original artworks. Art in all media: watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media and sculpture is displayed at the show.
Glen Echo Park 47th Annual Labor Day Art Show

The 47th Annual Labor Day Art Show features more than 250 artists from the greater Washington, DC area and over 650 works of art including photography, painting, ceramics, jewelry, glass, textiles, and more. For the second year in a row, the Labor Day Art Show offers jewelry on a “cash and carry” basis and new this year is a sleeved prints section! See amazing artwork from across the region in one of the largest art exhibitions in the area!
Glen Echo Park Irish Music & Dance Showcase

Come to Glen Echo Park on Labor Day to enjoy an afternoon of Irish music and dance performances. Presented by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the Irish Music & Dance Showcase features a wide variety of the area’s finest performers. FREE and open to the public, the Showcase is part of the weekend-long festivities at the park that will entertain the many visitors expected over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Adventure Park Keep it Lit
