National Parks Experience
Experience nature and history at Montgomery County’s three national parks: The C&O Canal National Historical Park, Clara Barton National Historic Site, and Glen Echo Park. Enjoy a guided tour of Glen Echo Park, meet one of the park’s resident artists, see classic art deco architecture, and ride the historic 1921 Dentzel Carousel from Glen Echo’s heyday as a popular area amusement park. Step back in time and live like a lockkeeper with a visit to Swain’s Lockhouse, located along the C&O Canal tow path. Learn about the C&O Canal Trust’s Canal Quarters program while you enjoy s’mores and views of the Potomac River.

Tastemakers Trail & Culinary Delights
In addition to being one of the leading conservation projects in the country, Montgomery County’s 93,000-acre Agricultural Reserve is where you can find delicious farm-to-table restaurants and craft beverage makers that produce some of the best local libations in Maryland. Take a ride to Montgomery County’s newest wine production, restaurant and event venue – The Crossvines. Serving as the gateway to the Agricultural Reserve, this beautiful facility serves as the hub for Montgomery County’s growing winery scene. You will enjoy a tour of the production facility by the master wine maker, a wine tasting of their latest varieties and sample a selection of treats created by the chef. Venture to Gaithersburg where you will enjoy an unforgettable food and beverage experience by the culinary team at Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center with views of the lakefront at rio.

Network to Freedom
Black history and heritage are rooted deep in Montgomery County, and stories of the Underground Railroad are particularly prevalent here, due to our proximity to the free North. Start off the tour with a discussion and self-guided tour of Josiah Henson Museum & Park, the former plantation property where Josiah Henson, abolitionist and inspiration for Harriet Beecher Stowe’s famous novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, was enslaved. Then, travel to Sandy Spring Museum and enjoy a tour of the museum and grounds.

Montgomery County is comprised of a mosaic of communities with their own identities and experiences. Each tour is thoughtfully organized to showcase the what makes each community special. Each attendee will be automatically placed in a community tour.

North Bethesda and Rockville
Enjoy a personalized tour of one of Montgomery County’s premiere performance venues, The Music Center and Mansion at Strathmore. The 1,976-seat theater regularly hosts favorites like the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The Mansion at Strathmore hosts more intimate performances and private collections. Next, head to Rockville Town Center and visit the MWBC Shop Local store. MWBC Shop Local is a retail business incubator program of the Maryland Women’s Business Center, an SBA-certified business development center initiative of Rockville Economic Development, Inc. Spend time exploring this highly walkable area and visit local shops of your choice.

Silver Spring and Takoma Park
Enjoy a private tour of The American Film Institute (AFI) Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, one of three Arts & Entertainment Districts in Montgomery County. AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring is anchored in the restored 1938 Silver Theatre, creating a classic feel to the films and movies shown within its walls. AFI examines the significance of films, while showing filmmaker interviews, discussions, and other events, making the films a true centerpiece. Next travel to Takoma Park and discover the charms of the classic main street experience. Takoma Park is one of 33 designated Maryland Main Streets and was awarded by the State of Maryland in 2004. The Main Street Program is a preservation-based, downtown revitalization approach supported by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. You will have a chance to meet with the Executive Director of Takoma Park Main Street and explore the shops on your own.

Hotel Dine Around
Montgomery County is a hospitality hub with Marriott International, Choice Hotels, PM Hotel Group and other hospitality companies headquartered in the county. Enjoy a unique spin on a traditional dine around with visits to three of Montgomery County’s newest hotels. Each stop will include a progressive dining experience including a signature beverage and heavy appetizers. Following the dine around experience you welcome gather your colleagues and indulge in a night cap at one of several eateries at the Pike & Rose neighborhood.
