The Washington Area Bicyclist Association’s 5th Great Montgomery County Bike Summit takes place on Sunday afternoon, September 29 in Wheaton, MD.
Our focus is safe streets and bicycling policy, programs, and projects. We’ve aimed to create a forum for attendees – officials, advocates, and community members – to discuss ways to create a more bicycling-friendly Montgomery County and State of Maryland. Of course we’re also walkers, rollers, and transit fans and see our mission as advancing safe streets for all, and we’re thrilled that State Highway Administrator Will Pines will keynote.
If you’re a recreational rider or bike commuter or family biker – if you want to see safe streets and the creation of new trails and bike lanes and easy transit access – if you’re an advocate or county or state official or just a biking enthusiast – please join us at the summit.
