Discover the surprising role of mathematics in the devices we wear every day! In “The Hidden Math Inside Your Smartwatch”, retired professor Thomas O’Haver reveals how concepts like geometry, statistics, signal processing, and GPS trilateration power the sensors in your wristwatch—from heart rate and blood oxygen tracking to step counting and satellite positioning. With clear visuals, real-world examples, and minimal math background required, this engaging talk makes the invisible calculations behind wearable technology come alive. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast, student, or simply curious, you’ll gain a new appreciation for how math quietly runs your life—one heartbeat at a time.
