Please join the Rockville Bike Advisory Committee (RBAC( for our annual Ride of Silence starting in the plaza in front of the Rockville Public Library.

Please plan to gather by 6:40 for the dedication and briefing. We will promptly roll out at 7 pm.

This is a police-escorted ride in memorial of cyclists killed or injured while riding. You must have a helmet and be able to ride at a 10-mph pace. Front and rear lights are also recommended.

The Ride of Silence takes place on public streets and in mixed traffic. This ride is only recommended for bicycle riders who can maintain at least a 10-mph pace and can comfortably ride on the street along side motor vehicles. Since there will be a police escort, we will not be able to wait for riders who have fallen behind. Riders not able to maintain the pace will likely have to complete the route separately on your own. This ride is not recommended for families or children who are not experienced riding on public streets.

Please pump up your tires, check your brakes, lube your chain, and take your bike for a test spin before you arrive.
