Monday Sep 15th 7:00-8:15pm Eastern
Why is jazz funeral not a jazz funeral? For the answer, join the Potomac River Jazz Club for another in its popular free online Jazz Talk series featuring New Orleans award-winning author/historian/journalist John McCusker, for some obscure details on NOLA jazz funerals from John’s many years of investigative researchwhile working for the Times-Picayune and the N.O. Advocate newspapers. McCusker has spent decades preserving N.O.L.A history, founding the Cradle of Jazz Tour in 1994 and the Kid Ory Historic House, a museum of the 1811 slave rebellion and the early life of jazz pioneer Kid Ory
