Maryland Emancipation Day was first celebrated on November 4, 1864. It marked the change in the Maryland State Congress to free all enslaved people from their bondage.
Join us on Saturday, November 2 for free admission to the Woodlawn Museum. Check in at the Visitor Center.
There will also be a special double offering of our Underground Railroad Experience Trail Guided Hikes at 10 am and 1 pm. (Fee required for hike).
