With the Smithsonian musuems closed, we’re letting you know of an opportunity to still experience fabulous art in the DC area.
Join us for our next K/NOW Dialogue: Art and Storytelling and meet Laura Reid Nix, who will be at Amy Kaslow Gallery from Embassy Row. Massachusetts Avenue’s most stunning new addition is Australia’s embassy, where Reid Nix now curates in a renovated space that is a spectacular architectural and artistic homage to country. In its lobby, the Quentin Bryce Gallery now features Aboriginal art from the Kimberley region. The Embassy exhibition, along with our ongoing Songlines, is designed to dovetail with the blockbuster Aboriginal exhibition now shuttered at Washington, DC’s National Gallery of Art.
Learn from a leading voice about elevating indigenous artists and telling stories through art. Hear her insights into growing global interest in Australian Aboriginal Art. Thursday, November 6, 6pm-7:30pm at Amy Kaslow Gallery. See fabulous Aboriginal art and enjoy a libation.
