Wowing crowds for three decades, the Capital Focus Jazz Band is on tap to delight at the Potomac River Jazz Club’s year-end celebration, Dec 8th, 2024.
CFJB is the nationally acclaimed youth program of PRJC. Â Highly talented high school and college age musicians, they have played in venues from New York to Nashville to New Orleans to The Netherlands.
CFJB was one out of just five youth groups selected from hundreds of international applicants to spend ten days studying with the top names in jazz at the prestigious Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy in Colorado. CFJB took first place in their division at the Traditional Jazz Youth Band Festival in Sacramento and has graduated players who go on to a pro career playing at venues such DC’s famous Blues Alley and New York City.
