The day will start with a journey focusing on tracking the footprints of Black Americans in Rockville’s Art and Historic Districts and progress in building our American history in Montgomery County. The footprints will be led by Anita Neal Powell, President, Lincoln Park Historical Foundation, Inc.

The panel discussion will focus on the political, social, and cultural transformation of American history. As we celebrate the 250th anniversary we cannot forget what others have sacrificed to ensure our voting responsibilities, civil and human rights, cultural rights and military rights. We must continue to work together to make our future a just and equal society.
