Live from the Lawn Concert Series

This outdoor concert series offers audience members an unforgettable experience at Strathmore’s Gudelsky Gazebo. Each concert is FREE, begins at 7:00pm and is between 75 and 90 minutes long. This year, the series presents banjoists, quarters, rock ‘n’ roll bands, jazz and go-go fusions, women ensembles and so much more. Bring your friends and family one night – or every week – to spend the evening relishing incredible music under the stars!

Cool Concerts for Kids

5301 Tuckerman Ln, North Bethesda, MD 20852

As part of their Live from the Lawn concert series, which has always been family-friendly, Strathmore has added three new 7:00 – 8:00pm concerts solely for kids this summer. This program will debut with Korean American musician Elena Moon Park, Grammy-nominated artist Pierce Freelon and a bilingual performance by Sonia De Los Santos & the Okee Dokee Brothers. With diverse music and fun ways for kids to get involved, these 60-minute performances are the perfect summertime entertainment for children of all ages!

First Fridays

200 E Middle Ln, Rockville, MD 20850

On the first Friday of each month, June until October, Rockville Town Square hosts a popular event full of shopping, eating, drinking and exploring. At 6:00 pm at the First Friday event, there is live music on the lawn, and everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and chairs, sit back and relax with friends and family.

Summer Concerts at Glen Echo Park

7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, MD 20812

For over a decade, Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture has presented a FREE weekly summer concert series to support local musicians and performers. This year, the concert will take place every Thursday at 7:30 from June 16 to August 25. Throughout the summer, performances will represent a diverse range of influences, cultures and styles. Stop by to see Ampersand, the United States Marine Ensemble and more!

Lakefront Live

Gather your friends and make your way to the Boardwalk Stage at rio Lakefront on Fridays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for fun outdoor concerts. Grab a refreshing beverage and light snack from the Beer Garden Tent and enjoy the sounds of some of your favorite local bands.

Happy Hour LIVE

With beverage and light-bite offerings from the Beer Garden Tent and incredible performances up on the Ellsworth Plaza Stage, this is the perfect outing for all! For those who love to dance, be sure to participate in the dance demos offered on June 3, June 17, July 1 July 15 and July 29!

Thursdays in the Park

Pike District Pop-up Park Grand Park Avenue & Banneker Street

This FREE concert series is returning to the Pike District this year with a mix of rock, pop, indie and folk-pop musicians. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event each week, and all are welcomed to come relax and enjoy the music all summer long! 

Bloom at Good Hope Concert | Silver Spring

Bloom at Good Hope Concert Series

At the Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center, as a part of Bloom by Strathmore, this concert series highlights community and the importance of access to the arts for everyone. There abundance of lawn seating fit for a picnic while you watch, making concert series is a great way to get together with others and foster a sense of togetherness. The amazing lineup is made up of some of Strathmore’s Artists in Residence, including up-and-coming jazz pianist Ellington Carthan, DC-based vocalist and songwriter Cecily and djembe and dundun drummer and instrument craftsman Uasaf Gueye.

Summer Concerts at the Streetery

Throughout the summer, Bethesda Urban Partnership invites any and all to numerous FREE outdoor concerts. Don’t miss performances by Calista Garcia, 19th Street Band, Moonshine Society and Soul Crackers!

DukhaBrakha at The Music Center at Strathmore

On August 6 at 8:00pm, internationally acclaimed quartet DakhaBrakha’s performance will encompass their roots in traditional Ukrainian folk music as well as a unique combination of Indian, Arabic, African, Russian and Australian instrumentation and powerful vocals. Between $28 and $68 per ticket, this inspiring concert will be worth every penny.

Rumi Daf Ensemble: 2022 Student Concert

603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, MD 20851

On Saturday, August 20 at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, this talented ensemble, led by teacher Jalal Kimia, will perform in a continued effort to introduce the Daf instrument to western culture. The program will run from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Tickets are $35, and parking is FREE.
