Farm Breweries

Lone Oak Farm Brewing Co.
5000 Olney Laytonsville Road, Olney

Lone Oak is not just a brewery at a farm. Rather, it’s a farm with a brewery. It’s a taproom that feels like home. Their crafted beer is made from the finest ingredients most of which are grown on their property.

Seasonal Brews:
Winter Solstice (A black lager with a crisp light body, clean dryness, and a desirable bitterness)
Nutcracker Nectar (Amber Belgian style ale, notes of toasty malt and spice characteristics, available in gingerbread and maple varieties)

Brookeville Beer Farm
20315 Georgia Avenue, Brookeville

A craft brewery that specializes in great beer and delicious pizza, with farm-grown ingredients. The beer farm has indoor seating seated around their open kitchen and brick oven. They also have heated outdoor sections with firepits.

Silly Yak Beer Company
7115 Damascus Road, Damascus

This is the first Maryland Gluten-Free brewery. The owner of Two Story Chimney Ciderworks created Silly Yak Beer Company with his brewmaster and friend. They partner with Two Story to share production space and a tasting room. What separates Silly Yak Beer from the rest is its production of gluten-free beer and dozens of choices to choose from.

Stone Silo Brewery
28800 Kemptown Road, Damascus

Stone Silo Brewery recently opened its doors in 2023 in Damascus. Their story tells the rich history of the farm and property. The taproom was repurposed from the farm’s milk house and silo which dates back to the 1930s stands tall to showcase the farm and the agricultural reserve.

Waredaca Brewing Co.
4017 Damascus Road, Laytonsville

Located on a horse farm, Waredaca Brewing specializes in pale ale and honey wheat-style beers in addition to saisons, stouts, and Belgian white beer.

Blizzard (Balanced winter spices of cinnamon and nutmeg)
Geedie (pale, dry, and warming with notes of clove coriander)

Elder Pine Brewing and Blending Co.
4200 Sundown Road, Rockville

Built on a family Christmas tree farm, Elder Pine brews and blends focusing on classic styles with a modern twist. While they aren’t family-friendly, they are pet-friendly and encourage guests to bring their well-behaved pets.

Go on a journey and unlock the Fields and Flavors Passport at participating breweries on the Tastemakers Trail. Those who complete the passport can claim a limited-edition souvenir glass. The event runs through the month of February.

Silver Branch Brewing Company

Located in the heart of Downtown Silver Spring and right of the Red Line Metro, sits Silver Branch Brewing Company. The inside of their taproom has a casual ambiance and evokes feelings of camaraderie. Silver Branch Brewing Company is also a production brewery and sells its products throughout the Washington D.C. region.

Third Hill Brewing Company

A place to escape with friends and loved ones. Third Hill Brewing Company offers an indoor space along with good music, brews, and food.

7 Locks Brewing Company
12227 Wilkins Avenue, Rockville

7 Locks Brewing Company is housed in a 7,200-square-foot warehouse in the heart of Rockville. There’s plenty of room indoors to enjoy a pint with friends. Try foods from food trucks in rotations or purchase their beer from restaurants, bars, and retail stores throughout Maryland and Washington D.C.
