Montgomery County, Maryland is located on the northern border of Washington, DC and on the eastern border of Virginia. Baltimore is northeast and Annapolis is directly east of the county.
I-95, I-270, and I-495 will be your main thoroughfare to get you in and around Montgomery County.
Maryland is a HANDS-FREE state. You are prohibited from texting or using a cell phone while driving.
The state of Maryland has a rigorous SPEED CAMERA program. Please pay attention to the posted speed signs and drive carefully.
Metro Red Line
The closest Metro Red Line station to the Canopy by Hilton is North Bethesda. The station’s name was recently changed. Some signage may say White Flint station.
Metro Cards may be purchased at any station along the Red Line, online, or via the Metro mobile app.
By Car
From points northwest – I-70 East to I-270 South
From points northeast – I-95 South to I-495 towards Virginia and then I-270 North, or I-95 South to MD 200 West (MD 200 is an all-electronic toll road that only accepts the E-Z Pass for payment. If you do not have an E-Z Pass, you will receive a bill in the mail at a slightly higher rate.)
From points south – I-95 North to I-495 towards Baltimore and then I-270 North

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI): 43-minute drive
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA): 35-minute drive
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD): 35-minute drive
By Amtrak
It’s easy to travel via Amtrak to Montgomery County. If you arrive in Washington, DC’s Union Station, transfer to the Metro Red Line heading toward the Shady Grove Metro station. The closest Metro stop for the Canopy by Hilton at Pike & Rose is North Bethesda station.
There is also an Amtrak station in Rockville. Transfer to the Metro Red Line Rockville station and travel toward Washington, DC to the North Bethesda station.
By Bus
Vamoose Bus provides direct service to New York City from downtown Bethesda. You can then Uber or take the Metro Red Line to the North Bethesda station.
The Silver Spring Greyhound station is the only stop in Montgomery County. Additionally, you can take a Greyhound bus to Washington, DC’s Union Station and transfer via the Red Line Metro toward Shady Grove and stop at the North Bethesda Metro station.
