1. Kensington Food Truck Nights

Bring the family every 1st and 3rd Thursday May-Oct for food trucks and community!

Take a night off cooking! On the first and third Thursday of every month between May and September — explore different cuisines with a wonderful variety of trendy food trucks — in Old Town Kensington, on Armory Ave! Join neighbors and friends on the streets of KTown! 5-8pm.

2. Takoma Truckgarten

June 6, 2015 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Join us for food trucks, local brews and live music!
Takoma Park adds another exciting outdoor festival to its full event lineup with the new Takoma Trukgarten on Saturday, June 6, 2015. The Takoma Trukgarten presented by the Old Takoma Business Association, Your Main Street Takoma, with Republic restaurant and will bring street food, local breweries and live music to this all day event.

3. Acoustic Thursdays in Rockville Town Square

Thursday Nights, 6:30-8:30pm

4. Imagination Bethesda

June 6, 2015 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Join us Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10am-3pm to celebrate children, art, and all things fun at the 21st annual Imagination Bethesda. The festival takes place on Woodmont Avenue and Elm Street in downtown Bethesda. Activity tents line the streets, face painters bring butterflies and pirates to life, a stage of live entertainment will have the whole street dancing and more!

5. Taste of Wheaton taste of wheaton

June 7, 2015 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Taste of Wheaton highlights the deliciously diverse restaurants in downtown Wheaton. The 20th annual event will take place on Sunday, June 7, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Wheaton Triangle at the corner of Grandview Avenue and Reedie Drive in downtown Wheaton (one block north of the Wheaton Metro station). Food samples from some of downtown Wheaton’s best restaurants at prices ranging from $1 to $5 per “taste”.

6. Discover Strathmore: Colors of the Caribbean

June 7, 2015 @ 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Strathmore’s annual family-friendly open house is full of free music and dance performances, workshops, artistic demonstrations, and hands-on art activities celebrating the vibrant diversity and rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean. Try a new hobby with our hands-on arts experiences, learn the craft of Carnival costume making, and become lost in a world of beauty and wonder with traditional Caribbean storytellers.

7. Celebrate Gaithersburg

June 14, 2014 @ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The 33rd Annual Celebrate! Gaithersburg Festival will draw an entire community to Gaithersburg’s historic city center. The one-day event is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2015, from noon to 5 p.m., and will include multiple stages of live entertainment, food, and themed activity areas for all ages and interests.
Celebrate! Gaithersburg in Olde Towne street festival takes place in and around the intersection of Summit and Diamond Avenues.

8. AFI Docs 2015

June 17-21, 2015

AFI DOCS is a five day international documentary film festival that takes place at landmark venues in Washington, DC and the world-class AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center, the independent film hub of the metropolitan region. With the presence of artists, audience members and political leaders, AFI DOCS shines a bright light on documentary film and harnesses the power of this important art form and its potential to inspire change.

9. Silver Spring Summer Concert Series at Veterans Plaza

Silver Spring’s long running and popular Thursday Night Concerts kickoff on June 18th.  The concert series features a raffle that gives away prizes for adults as well as toys and gifts for kids. The Silver Spring Thursday Concerts are free and take place on Thursdays from 7-9p.m.  The outdoor performances are presented at the Silver Spring Civic Building on Veterans Plaza, One Veterans Place.  Performances are canceled due to weather only if it is raining at 7:00pm.

10. 18th Annual Heritage Days Weekend

June 27 – 28, 2015

Each year, Heritage Montgomery hosts the annual Heritage Days Celebration on the last weekend in June. Sponsored by Heritage Montgomery since 2004, this unique, countywide festival offers visitors the opportunity to discover venues from Silver Spring to Poolesville, Bethesda to Clarksburg – and everywhere in between. Learn about the history of dairy farming, railroads and trolleys, African-American communities, astronomy, local arts & culture, and outdoor recreation including hikes and walking tours. Many venues offer musical entertainment, activities and crafts for children and refreshments.
