Mom Prom 2018: Pretty and Pink

A ladies-night-out for charity, women are invited to wear their old prom gowns, bridesmaids dresses, wedding gowns, or formals and dance the night away for a worthy cause. This is a wonderful, hilarious night in which women can dance the night away, have fun with friends, and help a charity. With a DJ, food, and a prom queen contest, this event is open to ALL women, not just moms! Tickets include live music, an 80’s themed DJ, desserts, heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine drink tickets. 18th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Lakefront Plaza Party

New Orleans Hot Jazz: Starring Pianist, John Royen

John Royen has been a fixture on the New Orleans jazz scene, both as an A-list on-call pianist and as a core member of most of the well-known jazz groups. He has performed, toured and recorded with jazz greats including The Dukes of Dixieland, Tim Laughlin, and the late Pete Fountain.

John, a Washington native, was the Preservation Hall Jazz Band pianist for 25 years and has performed at the Kennedy Center, the U.S. State Department, the National Press Club, the Smithsonian Institution, the New Orleans Historical Jazz Park, and numerous universities, theaters and performing arts centers around the country, in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Canada.
