This approximately 22 mile ride will begin from Mattie Stepanek Park in King Farm and take us to Saints Row Brewing, Clear Skies Meadery. and 7 Locks Brewing. We’ll have time at each stop for samples. The route is moderately hilly but we will be on neighborhood roads and lightly traveled roads that parallel the highways.
We will ride to Olde Towne Gaithersburg by way of Washington Grove to reach Saints Row Brewing. We’ll back track a short distance to get to our next stop at Clear Skies Meadery in the Rock East District. Then, we’ll go through the Lincoln Park, East Rockville, and Twinbrook neighborhoods to reach 7 Locks Brewing. We’ll return to Mattie Stepanek Park by going through Rockville Town Center where there are places to stop for ice cream.
Please note that this ride is a little longer than most of the RBAC rides, but there are several stops. As always, no one will be dropped, but we expect that you can ride at a 10-11 mph pace on a moderately hilly course so that we can have some time at each destination for a small sample. We’ll start the ride at 11:30 am and we expect to return to Mattie Stepanek between 2:30-3:00 pm.
