Joanna M. Briley is the founder of Black Women In Comedy Laff Fest and also a premier comedian! As a shining star on the comedy circuit and a true visionary, Joanna created the Black Women In Comedy Laff Fest and produced Joke Sistas to showcase the brightest and funniest Black Women in a safe space. “I believe the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest represents a close knit sisterhood sort of like an “unofficial sorority” filled with hilarious Black Women who understands the assignment,” Briley says. “We are NOT monolithic, we are each strong advocates for telling it like it is with love, emotional dexterity, and punchlines!” With her one woman show “Swipe This: My Life in Transit!” Joanna also merged her comedy life with the 32 years as a New York City Transit Authority Token Booth Clerk into a hit stage performance. If that wasn’t enough, as a former comedy club manager at the Brooklyn House of Comedy, Joanna catapulted the venue into becoming one of the premier comedy venues in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn by creating diverse showcases, mentoring young comedians, and offering creative tips and techniques to enhance each comics growth. With appearances on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lifetime TV informercials, Advisory Board member for the Stand Up Girls! NYC organization, Gold Comedy Advisory Board and recently added to the Ladies of Comedy Association Talent Board.

Moonie is a lawyer by day and a stand up comedian at night. She has opened for DL Hughley, Kenan Thompson & Bob the Drag Queen. She is the co-creator and actor in the award winning web series: “Moonie.”

Gwynn Factor is a vibrant and engaging comedienne born and raised in Alton, IL,
but now based out of Washington, DC, who is quickly climbing the ladder on the national comedy circuit. Her comedy is an examination of life the way “she” sees it, and her adventurous style of storytelling makes audiences across the country feel she is relatable and that they have known her, her entire life. Always known for her quick wit and sense of humor, she decided to pursue her passion to make others laugh after she won her battle with breast cancer in 2019. She caught the comedy bug after getting up on stage at a local comedy show and there has been no stopping her. Even a pandemic couldn’t stop her determination to entertain the world. In early 2021, she created, wrote, performed, and produced her own one-hour Mother’s Day comedy show entitled, “It’s a Mutha Being a Mother©,” professionally filmed live in her backyard and available on Sharezo.com. She is also the 2022 Season 1 winner of “That Ain’t It” Comedy Competition and the host of a tv cooking show, “Munchin’ and Lunchin’ with The Gwynn Factor” both airing on Alley Oop Television. She also featured in the 2022 movie, “Da Lot – A DMV Comedy;” and co-starred in the 2023 movie “Da Kickback,” as Ms. Gwynn, both airing on Tubi; in addition to producing her own monthly comedy shows, “The Gwynn Factor Presents Poolside Comedy” in the DMV area.
She has performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in NYC, the historic Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, CA and The Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club in Las Vegas. She is undisputedly one of the funniest rising comedians with stellar performances across the country performing with comedians Rita Brent, Skeet Carter, Michael Colyar, Melanie Camacho, Joe Clair, Just Nesh, Rodney Perry, Pierre, Tony Roberts, TuRae, and George Willborn
