Join Future Harvest and Greg and Anna Glenn at Rocklands Farm Winery in the Agriculture Reserve of Montgomery County, MD for this event. Through Holistic management, Rocklands Farm Winery exists to feed, nourish and engage their community. Rocklands focuses on holistic land management and practicing regenerative agriculture, focusing on growing grass and building healthy soil while imitating nature’s patterns and processes in order to provide delicious, nutrient-dense wine, meat, and eggs. We will tour the farm, the 12 acre estate vineyard, hear about their successful chick rental program, their flower CSA, their award-winning vineyard and the transition to organic/biodynamic/low-intervention wines. To minimize their impact during the growing season and achieve maximum vine health with minimal spray intervention, Rocklands soil and vine-leaf test throughout the season to respond and listen to the vines. They also trap and monitor pest populations to reduce or eliminate pesticide applications. This event is FREE and a wine tasting is included!
