As part of its monthly film screening series, Cinema Art Bethesda is pleased to present Riccardo Milani’s 2025 film Life Is Life.

On the coast of southern Sardinia, an elderly shepherd refuses to sell his family’s land to a developer who wants to build a luxury resort. As the offers become more tempting and pressure from the community grows, the shepherd’s daughter finds herself caught between loyalty to her roots and the promise of a better future. Inspired by a true story, Life is Life is a warm and sometimes humorous look at a community divided over what its future should be.
