Fine artist, illustrator and graphic artist Tim Myers will open a solo art show at the beachKraft Gallery in Olney, MD , running July 14, 2026 – August 29, 2026.
Tim is the artist behind Creation Station Studios, founded in an effort to combat AI created art and mass produced graphic apparel. Each piece of art Tim produces is created by traditional methods and every t-shirt is illustrated and screen printed entirely by hand. A celebration of human creativity and artisanship. By humans, for humans.
Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Timothy Myers is a mixed media artist whose work explores figurative abstraction through a lens of emotional intensity and cultural disruption. With formal fine art studio training and a degree in animation from The Art Institute, Tim brings a strong foundation in anatomy, composition, and visual storytelling to his practice.
“Figures in the Dark” explores what emerges when light recedes and clarity gives way to pure instinct. In this body of work, the human figure (and at times familiar cultural icons) appears fragmented, obscured, and reassembled through gesture and material tension. Working with contrast, abrasion, and restrained bursts of color, the artist navigates themes of vulnerability, identity, and the ambiguity of mythology.
Figures appear caught between control and collapse, presence and disappearance, as if discovered rather than constructed. By disrupting both the body and the symbols we attach to it, the work challenges fixed narratives of power and heroism. What remains is a raw, unresolved space where meaning is felt as much as it is seen.
Tim says of his process, “what keeps life fascinating is the constant creativity of the soul.”
See Tim’s work at the gallery in Olney, Tuesday through Sunday, 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM. An opening reception will be held Saturday July 18th, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The reception will have music provided by a live DJ and light refreshment will be available to guests. Artist receptions at the gallery are always free to attend.
