Event Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting an event to the Visit Montgomery Events Calendar. Please review the below guidelines before submitting your event.

Events must be located in Montgomery County, Maryland. Virtual events should be Montgomery County based events.

Events should be open to the general public, be entertainment-based and generally fall under the following categories: arts & culture, culinary, outdoor recreation, festivals, markets, history & heritage, museums, exhibits, concerts, comedy shows.

Note: Events that are invitation only, fundraising galas or benefits, retreats, classes, camps or have religious affiliations are not permitted.

All events will be reviewed and, if accepted, posted within a week. Visit Montgomery reserves the right to accept or reject events at its discretion.

  • Submit your event as soon as you have information. This will allow for greater reach and possible promotion across other Visit Montgomery channels such as blogs, newsletters and social media.
  • Events may be submitted up to one year in advance. A single, reoccurring event may reoccur up to 90 days and then needs to be resubmitted.
  • You must submit a .jpeg photo with your event. Try to avoid excessive typography or logos on top of the image.

Fill out the fields below in order to have your events listed on our online calendar. Please note: Your event will not automatically be added to the calendar once you click “Submit Event”. It will first go through an approval process to make sure that it meets submission criteria and contains all needed information.
