If you’re all about making memories through unforgettable experiences, this Go Play itinerary is for you!

From high-flying adventure and thought-provoking art to live performances and scenic escapes, Montgomery County is packed with things to see and do. Spend your days exploring museums, catching a show, or getting active in the great outdoors. Then wind down with local food and comfortable places to stay. Whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or flying solo, MoCo is your playground this May.

Day 1: Kick off your weekend at Topgolf in Germantown, where you can tee off in high-tech hitting bays while ordering from a full food and drink menu. Whether you’re a golf pro or just playing for laughs, it’s the perfect blend of friendly competition and social fun.

Next, unwind with a visit to Windridge Vineyards in Darnestown. This hilltop vineyard offers panoramic countryside views, award-winning wines, and shaded patios perfect for sipping a flight or sharing a picnic with friends. Cap off the day with the electric atmosphere of a professional rugby match at the Maryland SoccerPlex, home of Old Glory DC. Enjoy exciting live sports, food trucks, and the camaraderie of fans cheering under the lights. It’s a unique Montgomery County experience you won’t want to miss.

Jeff Koons, Split-Rocker, Glenstone Museum, Potomac

Day 2: Spend your morning with music at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda. In May, you can catch performances by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, jazz ensembles, or international touring acts in this acoustically magnificent concert hall.

Enjoy a relaxed lunch at The Grove, a cozy café tucked away in Park Potomac offering fresh, locally sourced dishes and a laid-back atmosphere. In the afternoon, discover the intersection of nature, architecture, and contemporary art at Glenstone Museum in Potomac. With the recent reopening of the Pavilions, visitors can explore galleries, outdoor installations, and tranquil wooded paths. Be sure to reserve your timed entry in advance, as Glenstone’s experience is highly sought after. (All visitors must be 12 years or older.)

The Manor at Silo Falls, Brookeville

Day 3: Begin your day at the Sandy Spring Museum, where rotating exhibits and artist residencies shine a light on Montgomery County’s diverse communities and deep-rooted history. From folk art to contemporary installations, the museum offers a meaningful and intimate experience. For lunch, head to The Manor at Silo Falls, a beautifully restored historic estate-turned-restaurant nestled in the countryside of Brookeville. Enjoy upscale American cuisine with views of the surrounding farmland—perfect for a leisurely mid-day meal.

In the evening, grab tickets for a performance at Olney Theatre Center, one of the region’s premier professional theaters. This May, don’t miss The Lehman Trilogy, the Tony Award-winning epic chronicling the rise and fall of the Lehman Brothers financial empire. Powerful storytelling and top-tier acting await on this critically acclaimed stage.
