Each spring Wildlife and Heritage Service plants sunflowers on the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area. After these beautiful flowers bloom during the summer, Montgomery County residents and visitors are welcome to take a stroll through the fields and take in the picturesque views.

Located off River Road, this area has no bathroom facilities, benches or picnic tables, so planning out nearby stop is a great idea. Whether you’re interested in grabbing a bite to eat, a tasty drink or both, we’ve created a list of the best places within 20 minutes of the sunflower fields.
