Jack Rasmussen has spent the past 22 years infusing political art into Washington’s cultural consciousness. Rasmussen will step down this year after a long-held director / curatorship of the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center. We’re delighted to sit down with one of the DC art community’s finest to talk art and politics. ”We have a continuing diet of socially and politically engaged art that can’t be shown anyplace else,” says Rasmussen of his AU Museum. Join us Thursday, October 15th, 6pm – 7:30pm at Amy Kaslow Gallery for our next K/NOW Dialogue: What the Heck’s Happening with Political Art?!
