Please join us for an evening of bluegrass music at Sandy Spring Museum. Multi-instrumentalist Ben Kepler is a well-loved performer and Maryland State Arts Council teaching artist. He plays American folk music and facilitates the Sandy Spring Bluegrass Jam when he isn’t teaching in the Montgomery County Public School System.
Ben will be joined by the Fire Hazards, a trio made up of Miche Booz, Bruce Evans, and John Hartge. They are known for their close vocal harmonies and mastery of diverse string instruments, including guitar, dobro, banjo, mandolin and fiddle.
All ticket sales and donations will benefit the Cultural Heritage Hub at Sandy Spring Museum, which will provide traditional artists with a dedicated space to practice, rehearse, and gather. When it opens in 2025, the Hub will support musicians like Ben, Miche, Bruce, and John as they work in traditional and contemporary styles and build a community of artists across disciplines.
