Weekend 5K Walk

Weekend Round Up: September 22-24, 2017

With the weather being unseasonably warm here in Montgomery County this week, it looks like summer isn’t ready to give in just yet. Fortunately, we have a ton of events happening this weekend for everyone to enjoy both while the sun is out and after it goes down.

Here’s your rundown of this weekend’s top things to do!

The Simon & Garfunkel Story

Arriving at Strathmore after a successful run on London’s West End, this critically acclaimed theatrical concert is about two boys from Queens, New York, who became one of the most successful music duos of all time. The Simon & Garfunkel Story includes timeless hits like “Mrs. Robinson,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence” and many more. The show takes the best of Simon and Garfunkel’s songs and mixes them with powerful images of 1960s America, giving audiences a feel for the time in which the artists were creating their music. So, put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a night of ‘50s fun! Step into the decade of cocktail parties, pink flamingos, Hot Shoppes, and juke boxes! Sip on favorite cocktails of the era provided by McClintock Distilling, and throw on a leather jacket or letter sweater for a photo opp in a recreated Hot Shoppes restaurant booth.
