Afternoon: Head to the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair!


It’s back! Since 1949 the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, the largest county fair in the State of Maryland, has been a showcase of farm life in Montgomery County. Gates open at 3pm-12midnight. Purchase your pass online!

Night Time: See a Free Outdoor Movie

Showing this Friday at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring is Back to the Future! The movie will be shown with subtitles on. Screenings begin after sundown, at approximately 8:00 p.m.

The popular day festival will feature music by local and international African artists and dance performances, African cuisine, vendors, games for children, and many more highlights. Come with your lawn chair or stand and enjoy great performances, rain or shine!

The second Sunday of August to the following Saturday is designated as Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week each year. That means qualifying apparel and footwear $100 or less, per item, are exempt from the state sales tax. Accessory items are not included. Head to Clarksburg Outlets for free family fest that includes, pony rides, a soccer clinic, live music and more! More information here.
