Enjoy outdoor movies in Montgomery County, Maryland!

Watching movies on a large screen outdoors has become a popular summer activity. There are several outdoor movie festivals in our area! Most of the movies are free and offer a great opportunity for families to enjoy some time together under the stars.

Free outdoor movies are show at the following locations:

Bethesda Outdoor Movies

Enjoy five nights of blockbuster hits at downtown Bethesda’s 10th annual outdoor movie series!

Show times begin at 9pm at the corner of Norfolk and Auburn Avenues. A limited number of chairs will be provided and attendees are invited to bring their own lawn chairs. Admission is FREE!

Spend an enjoyable evening in Woodmont Triangle and have dinner at one of the neighborhood’s delicious and diverse restaurants before the show!

Wheaton TGIF Summer Series 2015

Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy both a concert and movie every 2nd and 4th Friday June through August. Concerts begin at 7 pm. Movies begin at dusk.

Comcast Outdoor Film Festival

Three nights of feature films and family fun – all benefitting the NIH Children’s Charities

Bring a lawn or beach chair and sit up front, or drive-in and watch from your car! Overflow parking is available for FREE. A portion of the proceeds benefit NIH Children’s charities. Gates open at 5:00 pm. Music, food and family fun begin at 5:30 pm. Movies start at dusk. Located at 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville MD 20850. This event is FREE!
