October is for Beer Lovers!

October in Montgomery County is buzzing with free festivals every weekend! Many communities in our area hold Oktoberfests, a local version of the famous fall festival held each year in Munich, Germany. Oktoberfest is a family fun event focused on German beer, food, music and dancing. Here is your guide to the upcoming beer festivals in Montgomery County!

Germantown Oktoberfest!

Sunday October, 5th @ 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Germantown, Maryland hosts an annual Oktoberfest welcoming thousands of visitors from across the Washington DC area to enjoy a fun-filled day of live music and performances, delicious food, children’s games and inflatables, exhibits by local crafters, artists and businesses, roaming entertainment, and the Germantown Oktoberfest Biergarten — featuring traditional food and beverage and a dance floor to show off waltz and polka skills! The event is capped off with a spectacular display of fireworks!

The Crawl @ Takoma Park Street Festival

Kentlands Oktoberfest

The event features horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin painting, Beer Garden, Wine Terrace, Bavarian food, and lively performances. The new layout will accommodate additional main stages to feature a variety of musical entertainment, a Business Expo area, and more family activities. Admission and parking are free.

Dawson’s Market Oktoberfest

Join the fun as Rockville celebrates Oktoberfest, Dawson’s Market style! There will be live music, activities for kids, a moonbounce, and traditional German fare such as sauerkraut, bratwurst, and of course, plenty of beer selections.
