Five filmmakers will join us to engage the audience in discussions of Irish film-making. Opening the festival this year is “Born and Reared”, a moving documentary that explores contemporary Northern Ireland through the lives of four men living in the aftermath of violent conflict.

AFI Silver is proud to host the 13th annual New African Film Festival, co-presented by AFI, Africa World Now Project and afrikafé. In between films, or before and after your show, shop local vendors selling African home goods, clothing, books, and art in the Atrium Lobby at AFI.

Join PetConnect Rescue at 7 Locks Brewing for March MUTTNESS. You’ll be able to watch all the best games, enjoy a good pint, play some cornhole and support adoptable dogs (who will be there as well!).
Ziplining Season Opens
Have you missed being in the trees? Our zipline parks, Go Ape in Rockville and the Adventure Park in Sandy Spring will be opening soon for the Spring season! The Adventure Park at Sandy Springs invites you to explore their aerial forest on March 11th. Each trail has zip lines but primarily consist of “bridges” between tree platforms made of rope, cable and wood configurations creating over 190 unique challenges. Go Ape Rock Creek Treetop Adventure will open March 18th. Their course features 6 sections of treetop obstacles, each section leading you higher into the forest canopy.
