FeBREWary is Maryland’s official month-long celebration of craft beer, with craft brew events on tap across the state, it’s the perfect time for a beer lover’s getaway.

7 Locks Brewing, The Muddy Crows, and Miaca Lounge paired up on for an all-night Happy Hour and Beer tasting event!

The new beer-focused restaurant at Pike & Rose, Owen’s Ordinary, in North Bethesda is celebrating FeBREWary with a series of beer-related events. The restaurant will host “MoCo Beerstravaganza” featuring more than 20 beers brewed in the county from 7 Locks Brewing, Denizens Brewing Co., Brookeville Beer Farm and Waredaca Brewing Co.

In the true spirit of FeBREWary, this is your opportunity to chat with brewers and owners of local breweries in an intimate setting over seasonal ales. Enjoy some of our best local brews along with fare provided by Mission BBQ and music! This is a great event for any craft beer enthusiast. From stouts and porters to winter seasonal brews, cask ales and sours, this event will feature exclusive brews not found at your local beer shop.

Brookeville Beer Farm is Montgomery County’s newest farm-brewery. Crops from this farm fuel Brookeville’s brewery and the excess ingredients from the brewery are recycled onto the farm. Visit this brewery on weekends to sit back, try a few beers and enjoy live music. Check out their website to see what’s on tap.

Waredaca is a premier farm brewery committed to sustainability, incorporating local ingredients for brewing beer using the best practices possible. Located at one of the area’s best equestrian farm, Waredaca beers include something grown/produced on the farm. Visit their tasting room for a flight, play games and on a nice day, hang out outside and enjoy the scenery. Check out their website for more information on tasting hours.


7 Locks Brewing is a production facility with a taproom located inside a warehouse in Rockville. The taproom includes about 40 seats, a long wooden bar, TVs and an open layout that provides views of the brewing equipment. This small brewery provides great beers including beers including a pale ale, red rye, coffee stout and honey wheat. Visit them on trivia nights or on Saturdays for live music! Denizens Brewing Co. is a craft brewery located in downtown Silver Spring. Complete with a beer garden and a 2-level taproom, Denizens offers craft beer produced onsite & seasonal, shareable gastropub fare. At 45 beers and counting since opening in 2014, they have five flagship beers showcasing traditional lager, ale, and Belgian styles, and rotating seasonal selections highlighting barrel aging and sour programs, Denizens’ has a style to suit your taste. This brewpub is located in a restored brick storefront in Old Towne Gaithersburg. Growlers is the first Brewpub in Montgomery County and home to award- winning craft beers, such as their Porter judged “Best Beer in Maryland”. Whether it’s sampling beer flights, enjoying a meal with family and friends, relaxing on the outdoor deck bar, or hanging out in the upstairs saloon listening to bands for a late night show, Growlers is a must-stop for beer lovers.

Tapp’d – located in Bethesda, offers 40 beers on tap and offers more than 100 bottles of beer. Tapp’d features a wide selection of beers from Maryland breweries such as Denizens Brewing Co, Manor Hill Brewing, Union Craft Brewing, Brewer’s Art and Jailbreak Brewing Co., and more.

Owen’s Ordinary – located in North Bethesda, recently opened and in Pike & Rose. Complete with a tavern barroom and beer garden, Owen’s features an expansive beer list ranging from 50 draft beers and 150 in bottles and cans.

World of Beer – located in Rockville, can stock its signature lineup of more than 500 bottled beers and 50 beers on tap. World of Beer is also preparing to open a location in Bethesda.

Old Town Pour House – located in Gaithersburg, serves an extensive line-up of 90+ craft beers on draft plus delicious comfort food in a huge wood-and-copper space.

Tyber Bierhaus – located in Bethesda, is a traditional German beer house serving 20 German, Belgian, Czech and local craft beers.
