Fountain Opening and Community Day

Come back to the Fountain Plaza on Saturday to celebrate the opening of the Interactive Fountain with tons of activities, fun giveaways and live music. Downtown Silver Spring will also be hosting Community Day, a chance for you to come support organizations from around the local area, learn about their missions and discover opportunities within the community.

Montgomery County Strawberry Festival

Bring your chairs and blankets and celebrate food, nature and mom. The seventh annual Montgomery County Strawberry Festival will feature pony rides and hay rides for kids and wine glass and canvas art classes for the adults. Plus the whole family can savor the best locally grown strawberries around.

Take in the Arts With Mom

Bethesda Fine Arts Festival

Delight in fine art created by over 120 of the nation’s best artists, who will be showing and selling their work, including painting, photography, glass and woodwork. Does your mom love classic rock? Is she a Bruce Springsteen fan? Well, she’s in luck because Garry Tallent, bass player for Bruce Springsteen since the early 70s, is coming to AMP by Strathmore on Sunday. As a founding member of the renowned E Street Band, Tallent brought his musicianship and bass groove to every Springsteen album from 1973 to 1987. During a break from the E Street Band in the 90s, Tallent relocated to Nashville where he found a love of country and rockabilly music that has embedded itself deep into the DNA of his solo work. Join Tallent at AMP for an intimate evening of songs and stories. Tickets are available online now!
