Wine Tasting!

Indulge in a sip (or two!) and raise your glass to the handcrafted wines of Montgomery County:

Great Shoals Winery (Silver Spring) features hand craft award-winning, unique Hard Ciders and Sparkling Wines from a wide variety of fruit grown by our valued local farm partners. Great Shoals uses apples, pears, peaches, grapes, and other fruits from local and regional sources to create dry sparkling wines using the traditional méthode champenoise.
Visit the Tasting Room! Great Shoals strives to provide a memorable experience from the moment you step into our tasting room to your last sip of our hand-crafted local wine. The tasting room offers a selection of over twenty hard ciders, wines and sparkling wines.

Rocklands Farm Winery (Poolesville) currently operates a winery out of a c.1870 stone cellar producing and bottling wines from their estate vineyards as well as partnering with other Maryland vineyards for the highest quality grape supply. The winery is open to the public for tastings & tours in conjunction with their Farm Market Thursday-Saturday from 10 AM – 5 PM. Wines are available for tasting and purchase.

Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard (Dickerson) is committed to producing fine Bordeaux-style wines which have received numerous awards and, more importantly, the praise of their customers. Visit Sugarloaf Mountain and enjoy the “fruits” of their labor, attend our various events throughout the year, as well as the vineyard’s pastoral setting at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain. The winery is open seven days a week: 12 pm to 6 pm (last call 5:30 pm).
