Visit Montgomery has partnered with Maryland Brewery Tours to launch the first brewery tour in Montgomery County!
The inaugural motor coach tour officially kicks off during Maryland Craft Beer Lovers Month (aka FeBREWary) on Saturday, February 17 from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm. The second tour is scheduled for St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, and additional tours will be added throughout the year.
Guests will have a chance to experience some of the county’s finest breweries, and only distillery, without the hassle of driving. Tickets cost $67.99 per person and include added perks such as a visit behind the scenes, a pint of your choice at each stop, a limited-edition Montgomery County branded pint glass, good times, and more!
“A brewery tour is an excellent way for visitors and locals to experience the distinct flavors of Montgomery County while showcasing the craftsmanship of our talented brewers,” Cory Van Horn, Visit Montgomery Director of Marketing said. “We look forward to cultivating more partnerships like this in the future.”
Stops for the February 17 tour – which is filling up quickly – includes Denizens Brewing Company, Saints Row Brewing, 7 Locks Brewing and Twin Valley Distillers. This tour has two pick-up locations: Denizens Brewing in Silver Spring and the Sheraton in Columbia, Md. For the Silver Spring pick-up location, Denizens is only a few blocks from the Silver Spring Metro station, and public parking is available next to the brewery.
The March 17 tour will feature 7 Locks Brewing, The Brookeville Beer Farm, Waredaca Brewing Company and Saints Row Brewing. Free parking and discounted room rates are available at the Cambria Hotel & Suites Rockville. The hotel is also where the tour check-in, pick-up and drop-off will occur. For guests traveling via the Metro, the Cambria is also only a short walk from the Rockville Metro stop on the red line.
