Daylong Event to Also Include a Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder for Kids

Mudderella, the obstacle course challenge designed for women, by women, will head to High Point Farms (23730 Frederick Road, Clarksburg) in Montgomery County on July 25 beginning at XXX.  Over 4,000 people are expected to participate, empowering them to work together and have fun while completing a 5-7 mile course of 12-15 obstacles. New to the race this year, there is a Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, a 1-mile obstacle course designed specifically for kids. Both premier outdoor obstacle events deliver high-energy obstacles testing participants’ endurance, willpower and strength in a positive environment shared with like-minded, strong women. Registration for the Capital Region event is now open  through event day. For more information or to register, log onto www.mudderella.com/events/capital-region-2015/.

“Mudderella is about encouraging and motivating women to ‘Own Your Strong’ and unlock their true strength while having a great time,” said Antonia Clark, Head of Marketing. “We’re looking forward to heading to High Point Farms this year to deliver this unique experience to more women in this region.”

This event includes 12-15 intense and invigorating obstacles, designed by women. Obstacles include the Slider, Skinny Jeans, New Heights, I Got Your Back, Hay Girl Hay, Ground Hog Day, Dirty Downward Dog, Balancing Act, Break the Glass Ceiling, Wheels in Motion, Down to the Wire, Hat Trick, Ain’t no Mountain High and Tough Tatas.

To reinforce participants’ focus on personal aspirations and fitness, Mudderella events are not timed. Teamwork is essential to completing the course, and the events focus on bringing people together to overcome obstacles and have fun.  Men are encouraged to join teams in support of their wives, daughters, sisters, mothers, friends and coworkers, or to come out as spectators.

Each event kicks off with a Stretch + Strengthen session to warm up for the day’s challenge.  On the other side of the finish line, teams can visit the Rinse + Revive station to freshen up and relax, then celebrate with friends, protein bars, beer and music. For 2015, Mudderella has partnered with Athleta, Shock Top, St. Ives®, Pure Protein, Speed Queen, Oberto and Toyo Tires to enhance the experience for participants and spectators.

Mudderella is also honored to partner with Futures Without Violence again in 2015. Futures Without Violence is a national nonprofit making strides towards preventing and ending domestic violence. Mudderella is committed to giving women a great event experience, as well as supporting an important cause through participant fundraising and on-site activations for Futures Without Violence.
