Heritage Days Celebration to Feature 35+ Sites Across Montgomery County

Join Heritage Montgomery, one of 13 heritage areas in the State of Maryland, in celebrating the 21st Annual Heritage Days from noon to 4 pm on June 23 and 24, 2018. The weekend will be packed with fun, family-friendly, free events across Montgomery County, Maryland.

A free festival, Heritage Days showcases over 35 historic, cultural, and outdoor recreation sites throughout Montgomery County, Maryland. Each site will feature special programs including exhibits and demonstrations, live music, activities for children, and much more!

“Heritage Days is the perfect opportunity for visitors and residents to explore a selection of Montgomery County’s historic sites that are not regularly open to the public,” Visit Montgomery President and CEO Kelly Groff explains.

Participants will learn about the county’s Civil War and agricultural history, the stories of local railroads and trolleys, historic African American communities. Local arts and culture, outdoor recreational activities are also highlighted. Additional information is available through the Heritage Days website and the official downloadable brochure.
