Veterans Plaza is a large public open space that is programmed for festivals and concerts. Under the outdoor pavilion, programs such as the Silver Spring Swings summer concert series take place, and in the winter months it turns into a seasonal ice skating rink.
A memorial commemorating the service of County veterans helps make this a special site.
For concerts, festivals, or live entertainment events on the Plaza, applications and proposals must be submitted to the Operations Manager. Sufficient staffing, planning, and event management must be in place for outdoor events on the plaza.
