The City of Gaithersburg presents “NOMA at Bohrer Park,” a mixed media exhibit featuring artwork from NOrth MArket (NOMA) Gallery. The exhibit will be up from June 30 to August 27, 2017, at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Meet the artists at a free reception on July 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. Featured in this exhibit are Kesra Hoffman, Linda Van Hart, Thomas Sterner, Andrea McClusky, Harriet Wise, Lisa Sheirer, Lisa Tyerle, Karin Birch, Wanda Remington, Richard Schellenberg, Cleo Dunsmore Buchanan, and Pamela Hall.
Founded in 2015, NOMA Gallery is a co-op fine art gallery showcasing contemporary and traditional art in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, glass and jewelry. Its mission is to promote excellence in the visual arts in many different disciplines.
The Gallery represents 19 artists from Frederick County, Baltimore, Gaithersburg, Hagerstown, Thurmont, Union Bridge, Westminster, and Wheaton, exhibiting in solo, duo and group shows. Located in the historic district of Frederick, Maryland, NOMA Gallery is part of the “First Saturday” openings held throughout the year, encouraging art enthusiasts to meet and speak with the artists in a creative social environment. The Gallery also hosts talks, workshops and lectures.
